RESCUE & ADOPTION.
In April 2022, two amazing rescues decided to combine forces by merging both people and financial resources. Posey Humane Society and PC Pound Puppies had the same mission of better serving the needs of abandoned and neglected dogs and cats in Posey County. Now, they can do it better than ever.

NEWLIFE Rescue and Adoption believes all companion animals in Posey County, Indiana deserve loving homes and humane treatment and works to ensure their needs are met, including appropriate shelter, food, water, and medical care.
Combining Posey Humane Societies nearly 40 years of experience and PC Pound Puppies determination to give dogs a second chance, these two power groups merged in 2022 to give animals in Posey County and surrounding areas a fighting chance.

To rescue animals from situations that are abusive, endangering and neglectful, which includes pounds, stray dogs, owner surrenders in dire situations and puppy mills

To inform the public of these situations in order to put a stop to animal abuse and irresponsible breeding

To provide foster homes for these animals

To provide necessary veterinary care

To promote the importance of spaying/neutering and assist others with referrals to low cost spay/neuter programs

To place rescued animals into permanent adoptive homes

Building and maintaining a network of other rescue groups for rescued animals.

Thousands of animals have received spaying/neutering surgeries

Thousands more have been adopted to loving homes

Get medical treatment and nurse animals to health before placing In permanent homes

Reunite lost pets with owners

Provide Community Food & Medicine for pet owners who find they sometimes need help

Provide training & behavior management for pets & owners

Provide County wide TNR (trap and neuter) cat program

Loan/give outdoor housing and straw to pet owners

We are not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States and receive no funding from national group or the state. We are self-funded and sustained by gifts from individuals, local businesses, and foundations.
